The UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST) addresses the threat posed by infectious disease outbreaks in low and middle income countries (LMICs) through an integrated triple remit incorporating outbreak response, research, and capacity strengthening. It is funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA) from the UK Department of Health and Social Care and delivered through a partnership between the UK Health Security Agency and academic partners.
