Community Action

Community Action is a funding programme of The National Lottery Community Fund for projects in Scotland. It funds projects that bring people together through activities or spaces, online or in-person, to support communities affected by poverty, disadvantage or discrimination. Projects must be "led by their community".

The page states that funded projects should meet at least two of four outcomes: building positive relationships, supporting health and wellbeing, improving access to nature, or benefiting the environment.

Grants are for amounts from £20,001 to £250,000 for projects lasting up to 5 years. The page notes that organisations that have not previously had long-term funding (of 2 years or more) are unlikely to receive more than £100,000 in total.

The programme status is "Open to applications", with a stated decision time of 12 weeks. Applications are made through the online application portal.
