Strengthening Communities

Strengthening Communities is a funding programme of The National Lottery Community Fund for Northern Ireland. It funds projects that "support people who experience poverty, disadvantage and discrimination" and that "are led by your community and build on its strengths and connections." The page states funded projects must achieve one of five outcomes, including reducing health inequalities, improving wellbeing, strengthening relationships, supporting young people's potential, and developing social and emotional skills.

Grants are for amounts from £20,001 to £500,000. The page states that organisations of any size can apply for £200,000 or more, while only smaller organisations (defined as those with annual income under £500,000 over the last 2 years) can apply for less than £200,000.

The programme status is "Open to applications", with a stated decision time of 16 weeks. Applications are made through the online application portal.
