The Solidarity Fund

The Solidarity Fund is a funding programme of The National Lottery Community Fund for England. It funds organisations taking action on the root causes of inequality, including poverty, disadvantage and discrimination. The page states the work must be "led by, and accountable to, people with direct experience of the issues."

Grants are for amounts from £1,000,000 to £5,000,000. The page states the fund makes "only a small number of large, long-term grants", that since launch it has received more than 350 applications with only a small proportion advancing to stage 2, and that approximately 10 organisations are expected to be funded in the first year.

The programme status is "Open to applications", with a stated decision time of 35 weeks. Applications are made through the online application portal.
