Young Start - Main Grants

Young Start - Main Grants is a funding programme of The National Lottery Community Fund for Scotland. It funds projects involving children and young people aged 8 to 24, where young people can choose their level of involvement, influence decisions, and participate in the organisation's activities.

The page states projects must address at least one outcome: helping young people "build positive relationships that improve their wellbeing", "learn more about themselves or other people", "take action on issues that matter to them", or "learn skills that help them feel more confident for the future."

Grants are for amounts from £20,001 to £150,000, for projects lasting up to 3 years.

The programme status is "Open to applications", with a stated decision time of 12 weeks. Applications are made through the online application portal.
