Støtte til bredbåndsutbygging i Trøndelag fylke

Trøndelag fylkeskommune publishes this scheme on its digital-infrastructure pages, where it is currently titled "Bredbånd- og mobilstøtteordning" (broadband and mobile support scheme). The page states the 2026 application round is open ("Søknadsprosess 2026 - ÅPNET") with the deadline "Søknadfrist 15.06.26".

Purpose. The page states: "Fylkeskommunen har ansvaret for den offentlige støtten til bredbåndsutbygging i Trøndelag" (the county authority is responsible for the public support for broadband rollout in Trøndelag). It receives an annual grant from Kommunal- og distriktsdepartementet which, together with funds from the county authority and a municipal co-payment ("kommunal egenandel"), is allocated on to projects in the municipalities. Grants are given for rollout to broadband providers. The support is state aid given in line with the group exemption for support for broadband rollout (GBER).

Who can apply. The municipalities ("kommunene") are responsible for the application. An annual application form is opened in which the municipalities register their desired rollout areas; when applications open, municipalities receive an invitation with a link to the form. Residents are directed to contact their municipality and/or providers.

Technical criteria. The page states the scheme targets "Husholdninger og virksomheter som mangler tilbud om 100 Mbit/s" (households and businesses lacking an offer of 100 Mbit/s), and that the supported project must reliably offer a download speed of 300 Mbit/s and an upload speed of 100 Mbit/s.

How to apply. The page provides a link to the application form at dialog.trondelagfylke.no (the scheme's online dialogue portal, "KLIKK HER FOR LENKE TIL SØKNADSSKJEMA"). A map of publicly supported broadband areas is provided via ArcGIS, with a colour legend (red = under planning, yellow = under construction, green = completed, blue = commercial areas, purple = missing/desired mobile coverage).
